Good governance in Afghanistan and Pakistan – Oxfam Novib

Citizens First is a programme organised by Oxfam Novib contributing to human security and good governance in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Its purpose is empowering civilians and civil society to engage constructively with the government, through using evidence-based advocacy. The project has been operational for four years and will finish at the end of 2016.

Sprockler was used to evaluate the impact of the programme on civic engagement in both countries. Experiences were collected from those involved in the project about requests they made to the governments of Afghanistan and Pakistan, respectively. The stories were collected in written and well as recorded form. Questions concerning the type of appeal and the following response from the government added data to the stories.

An interactive website was created to be able to show the results in an appealing way to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs: sprockler.com/Oxfam/citizensfirst/index.php
