Foundation Hotel con Corazón is a social enterprise based in Granada, Nicaragua, that invests 100 percent of its profits into local education programs in Las Conmarcas de La Laguna, a rural community outside of the city. The Foundation strongly believes in the power of education to transform lives and open up opportunities and possibilities. Through after-school tutoring programs, parent engagement and scholarships for secondary and university students, our aim is to support children so they can finish school and build their own bright futures.

In November 2016, to mark the eighth anniversary of the programs, stories were collected using two different inquiries, one for youth/children and one for adults, to learn about the experiences from the various groups of stakeholders involved – primary and secondary students, high school and university scholarship recipients, parents, tutors and former participants – in order to get a better understanding of the impact of our projects.
